Ramadan Special Recipe🌙⭐️

Hey guys ramadan Mubarak to all of my Muslim followers who are fasting during this holy month of Ramadan. To those who don’t know what ramadan is, it’s the ninth month of the Muslim year in which we fast for around 30 days from sunrise to sunset. The reason I said around 30 days it varies at times depending on when they see the moon; then the next day would be, Eid al-Fitir which is the family gathering/festival/celebration of breaking the fast. This fast is a purification for our souls. To become more humble and patience. This fast makes us realize how our brothers and sisters around the world suffer from starvation. Makes us hit reality how blessed we really are.

For us and our busy schedules it could be hard to eat good and clean at times. Some may not even eat in the morning to keep their fast and some might just have something super light and get hungry within minutes after they close it.

I wanted to make something to help keep us full and that is loaded with great nutrients. Any guesses yet….!?

DATE LOAF BREAD

Yes you heard that right during this holy month we tend to eat a lot of dates. Dates is a great fruit filled with lots of nutrients on its own and helps with a lot of illness as well.

My Recipe.

One cup of dates.

One cup of water.

3 tablespoons of butter.

One handful of cashews.

One handful of sunflower seeds.

One handful of almonds.

One handful of pumpkin seeds.

One handful of walnuts.

One tablespoon of baking powder.

One Cup of all purpose flour.

One cup of oat flour.

Method.

In a pot put your pitted dates and water to simmer add the butter let the dates come nice and soft your mixture should look like a nice dark thick caramel texture and color. On the other side grind up all your nuts add it to the flour and oatmeal mix just take the regular Quaker Oats add to the magic bullet until powder form, then add the baking soda. Throw the date caramel on top of the dry mixture mix it well. Then put in a loaf tray. Bake it for 1 hour at 475 degrees Fahrenheit.

SIDE NOTES.

You can add extra dates to the recipe according to your taste buds or even sugar as well depending on how sweet you like it to me if it’s the small dates I would use two cups plus a teaspoon of sugar. If it’s the big dates I would use one cup no sugar added.

You can also add more nuts to the recipe and remove what ever you don’t like. All nuts are healthy for you except too much intake of peanuts causes high cholesterol.

This loaf could be made gluten free as well minus the all purpose flour add another cup of oat flour and add another tablespoon of baking soda.

Hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I do. Let me know if your going to try it out. Send me pictures would love to see them x

  1. Happy Ramadan to you too Sana! May the Almighty bless you and your family.

This recipe is amzing, firstly, because I love dates, secondly, because I love stuff made with dates (my Mom makes a fabulous date and walnut cake), thirdly, because this loaf is packed with so many good nuts. I’m surely making this. I’v copied your recipe already to my recipes folder. I’ll send you a shoutout when I bake this. Thank you for this 😀

  2. Looks like a great recipe. It certainly beats the processed baked goods people tend to buy for expediency. May your holiday season’s practice provide you a quality religious experience. Ramadan Mubarak.
