Barbados blog#2 Detailed πŸ‡§πŸ‡§πŸ”·πŸ‡§πŸ‡§

Day one waking up to this beautiful island was just unrealistic. Barbados is one of the smallest Caribbean islands in the world but filled with the sweetest people and the most  out standing beaches.

This was the porch in our villa amazing view right loved to sit and relax there whenever we were at the villa getting fresh ocean breeze and laying down on the comfy sofas to relax.

That was our lovely breakfast view for the three days we were there couldn’t complain for a better one right?😍

As we finished with breakfast we got ready to hit the beach Port Ferdinand has their own private beaches which is a plus rather than going out to look for a beach to go to.

No waves just warm crystal clear aquamarine πŸ’¦ we had the beach to ourselves since no one was at the one we went to particularly. It Was amazing felt like we owned it.

We went back to the villa showered and got dressed called for a taxi to come pick us up. We wanted to explore the city and to eat something local for lunch/early dinner. We took a nice drive around the small island saw some nice mini shops and this mall with brand named stores. We were to hungry to check out the mall first so went to a shack looking restaurant to try local foods we order flying fish and mahi mahi flying fish is a local Barbadian fish it’s always jumping and making noise in the water as if it’s flying. Mahi mahi on the other hand is also a local fish which is whale meat. I tried both and perfered the flying fish it tasted more like chicken it was well seasoned and light mahi mahi was a heavier fish and was rubbery to me. The first picture is mahi mahi and the second one is flying fish.

After we finished; We walked around the area and went to the mall.

As I mentioned before everything there closes early and they even have a closing time where lunch ends and opens back for dinner like from 6-9 which is not that late compared to what New Yorkers are use to.

We took a ride on the local bus; just for fun to have an experience. It was one to remember for sure. They should call it the dragon fire bus since it speeds like crazy felt like I was in a never ending rollercoaster. Just to let you guys know barbados accept US Currency $1.00 USD Equals to 2 Barbadian dollars. Which is quite high for such a small island.

That is how their currency looks like very bright and colorful.

We stopped by The Fish Pot to have dessert it’s an ocean view restaurant we ordered vanilla and chocolate icecream best icecream I ever had was not missing any cake lol nice creamy sweet and filling the wafer stick went so well with it.

Day 2 Wednesday May 17th same old routine had a quick breakfast and got ready to start an early morning adventure the taxi was waiting on us. We were heading to Harrison’s Cave heard so much about this cave it was a must go to on my list.

Hope you guys learned a lot about the island the video was played to us as we entered before we took our ride to enter the cave.

The cave was so beautiful it surely was a must go to. Wish I had more videos to show you guys. One of the video is the waterfall inside the cave it’s 9 feet deep!

I took a quick pic before we left the cave park. As we reach back to our villa we went back to the beach and the water taxi from the villa came to take us out for a drive it was amazing if I only knew about it from before would of never gone anywhere walking πŸ˜‚β€‹

After the lovely drive around the island they took us to lobster pot a restaurant by the sea.

It’s so comfy and cute inside makes you feel as if your in a hut waiting for supper made by mama bear except by the beach thoughπŸ˜‰

For starters we ordered spring rolls, for the main course we ordered the chefs recommendation for seafood; which was blackened and grilled Marlyn steak with chips and veggies, alongside of vegetable sweet curry and for dessert white chocolate chip brownies with icecream. yummersπŸ˜‹ Just typing this is making me hungry! We didn’t regret at all for ordering the chefs choices for us it was amazing when it comes to fish steaks, I’m a very picky person and only love my grilled salmon but I have to admit gotta add marlyn to my favorites as well it was amazing!πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

The next day was a super early breakfast before we left to the airport. I would totally recommend this place if you come to the Barbados, you will enjoy every second of it here. There is always something to do. This was surely a trip to last a lifetime. Hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did. Till next time πŸ‡§πŸ‡§.

  1. Barbados looks so beautiful, especially that blue water and blue sky! Lovely weather to go out and about πŸ™‚ The cave sounds adventurous and lucky you got the chance to explore it. I like adventure like that so would have loved to give it a go! Sounds like you went to quite a few good places to eat. White chocolate chip brownies with ice-cream also makes me hungry. 2. Searching for guides sounds like very good planning. I generally like to go without guides but there are some places you just have to have a guide to show you the ins and outs! πŸ˜€ You have a lovely day x
